players are welcome to this non-competitive afternoon of bridge.
Coffee Mornings ~
All Members
First
and Third Wednesdays of Every Month from 10:30am-12:00pm
Venue
Changes ~ Times May Vary
Coffee mornings are often hosted in members
homes and provide a friendly and informal atmosphere for both existing
members and newcomers to catch-up with each other and to welcome new arrivals.
It is also an excellent opportunity to keep abreast of what’s happening
in Mumbai.
Occasionally a coffee morning might include
any of the following: a cultural session featuring a special guest speaker;
a craftsperson exhibiting their products; we may visit a new or interesting
shop or be invited by a hotel to experience their hospitality. Every effort
is made to alternate our coffee mornings between south, north and the
middle of Mumbai. A nominal charge of Rs100 is made and goes to one
of the charities supported by Mumbai Connexions.
Every fifth Wednesday sees a joint coffee
morning with our sister club - The American Women’s Club of Bombay (AWC).
A diary of dates is available in the Chalo newsletter.
Coffee Mornings ~
Newcomers to Mumbai
First
Tuesday of Every Month from 10:00-11:00am ~ Venue Changes
This is an opportunity for newcomers to
Mumbai to meet and discuss topics of most relevance to them as they arrive
and settle in this vibrant city.
Craft
Group
Every
Thursday 10:30–1:00pm - Bandra West
The Craft Group meets on a weekly basis
to make items for sale at key times throughout the year. The projects worked
on vary from greetings cards and gift tags, to Christmas decorations, gift
bags, cushions, cross-stitched towels and much more. Items are offered
for sale at Coffee Mornings and other events. All proceeds go to local
charities. In recent years we have bought audio visual equipment for a
school for underprivileged children and funded many cataract eye operations.
Dinner Club
This is a relaxed evening in a different restaurant
each month. Everyone is welcome at the dinner club with or without
partners. Friends can also be invited. This is a good opportunity
to meet people and to try out different restaurants throughout Mumbai.

Social Events
Mumbai Connexions is constantly on the lookout
for new and exciting events and activities to keep members entertained.
We strive to arrange a rich variety of events. Past examples include
a Parsi garden party, a rickshaw treasure hunt, Sari draping at a prominent
Indian clothing shop, ‘Pot Luck’ dinners, guided tours of the Fort area
in South Mumbai and an invitation to High Tea from the Taj Hotel at Lands
End. The ‘Welcome back to Mumbai’ get-together after the summer holidays
is also very popular and a great chance to catch up with friends and to
meet the new arrivals. In December the Mumbai Connexions Christmas
Lunch is our traditional way of wrapping up the year with a lot of fun
and great support for our local charities
